Wilton’s Sun Products Gets ‘all’ Those Allergens Out

Company wants moms to know that its "all" laundry detergent removes 99 percent of allergens from clothes.

Wilton-based Sun Products Corporation wants moms to know that its “all” brand laundry detergent is effective at removing pollen and other allergens from clothing.

Now that it’s fall, pollen and other allergens can easily get into people’s clothes. In turn they can inflame people’s allergies through constant exposure.

Sun Products’ “all,” however, removes 99 percent of allergens — dust mites, cat and dog dander, and ragweed — from clothes, according to a press release. The company claims its dye and perfume-free version “is the #1 laundry detergent recommended by both dermatologists and allergists for sensitive skin.”

Sun Products, with offices at 60 Danbury Road, makes laundry detergent, fabric softeners and other household products under the brands all, Snuggle, Wisk, Sun, Surf, and Sunlight. The company boasts annual net sales of $2 billion.

The company when it donated a sustainable playground built from recycled plastic bottles to the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center — and again in when it announced that business was expanding, despite the economic recession, and that it would be occupying an additional 12,800 feet of commercial space in the Danbury Road complex.
