Women's self-defense class for middle school teens and moms
A new Mother/Daughter Self-Defense Class is open for registration at Trackside Teen Center for middle school girls and their moms.

Girls in middle school and their moms are invited to register for a special class series designed to teach self-defense techniques for women. Back by popular demand, Lisa Bohacs will be teaching the Mother Daughter Self-Defense class at Trackside on Monday evenings November 13th through December 4th from 7pm to 8pm. In this class, students will practice self-defense techniques designed to help women defend themselves from physical attacks. Students will also learn how to detect, avoid and escape from dangerous situations.
Lisa Bohacs has been involved in the Martial Arts for 37 years. She is a 5th degree black belt and has been teaching for 33 years. She has competed nationally and internationally for the U.S.A. She has been on four U.S.A. National teams, has taken two individual silver medals and one bronze in women’s heavyweight fighting and two overall team gold medals.
“We’re always thrilled to bring Lisa in to teach women’s self-defense at the Teen Center,” said Trackside Program Director, Amy Nassef. “It is empowering for girls and women to know how to defend themselves from a variety of dangers. It is our hope that after completing the course, students will find new confidence in themselves and their abilities.”
