$10 Acupuncture for Seniors in August
Many Rivers offers $10 acupuncture treatments for seniors 62+ on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in August.
Many Rivers Community Acupuncture is offering their annual Senior Special this August: Seniors age 62 and above can receive acupuncture for only $10 per treatment, every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm throughout August.
New and returning patients are welcome to participate in this special. Seniors can call (860) 683-0011 to schedule their $10 appointments, or use Many Rivers’ convenient online schedule.
“We are offering our Senior Special in the summer this year,” said Many Rivers acupuncturist Heather Finn, L.Ac., “to help seniors stay active and healthy during the wonderful summer weather. This past winter was long and hard. Now that the weather is better, people are returning to their favorite outdoor pastimes. But golfing, gardening, and exercising can cause unwanted aches and pains. Acupuncture can reduce the discomfort so that seniors can have fun all summer long.”

Acupuncture helps pain by reducing inflammation, promoting circulation, and by changing the way the brain perceives pain. It can help improve mobility in joints that have become tight and painful from both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
“Whether it’s golfer’s elbow, runner’s knee, frozen shoulder or plantar fasciitis, chances are that acupuncture can help,” said Many Rivers acupuncturist Mary Cole, L.Ac

Many Rivers’ highly-trained acupuncturists treat many other conditions often experienced in the elderly population, such as diabetic neuropathy, poor circulation in the hands and feet, insomnia, anxiety, and constipation.
Many Rivers is part of the community acupuncture movement, which is working to make health care affordable and accessible. Acupuncture treatments are provided on a sliding scale, from $15 - $35 per treatment (plus a one-time new patient fee of $10). Many Rivers is open Monday through Saturday, with evening appointments available until 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday. The clinic is located at 775 Bloomfield Avenue in Windsor.
