Update: Armed Bank Robbery Reported in Windsor

The bank robbery occurred early Saturday morning and police are looking for two suspects.

Windsor police need your help finding two people who they say held up a bank Saturday morning at gunpoint. 

From the Windsor Police Department via a press release:

On January 10 at approximately 9:18 am, the Windsor Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call of a robbery at the First Niagara bank located at 2133 Poquonock Avenue Windsor.

Upon arrival, officers learned that two (2) suspects had entered the bank displaying handguns and forced bank staff to surrender an undisclosed amount of money to them. The suspects then ran from the bank and fled the area in a nearby parked vehicle.

Windsor Police and State Police responded quickly and searched to the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

No employee of the bank was injured nor was any customer patronizing the bank injured.

Suspect #1 is identified as a black male, having a slim build, approximately 5’10” tall weighing approximately 160 pounds. This male was wearing a dark leather jacket, black colored jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Suspect #2 is identified a black male, approximately 6’ tall, having a medium build, approximately 5’10” to 6” tall, weighing approximately 160-180 pounds. This male was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.

Both males were carrying handguns and they were wearing black colored masks.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gray or bronze colored Mercedes small sized sedan with dark tinted windows.

This case is currently being under investigation by the Windsor Police Detective Division.
