Higher Rent Closes Windsor Business
The business says members will move to Bloomfield after the Windsor location closes.
WINDSOR, CT — Club Fitness will close its gym at 1001 Day Hill Road on Friday, Oct. 16, and transfer members to its Bloomfield location.
The closing date and membership transfers are confirmed in an announcement on the gym’s website. The Connecticut Scoop reported the closure Saturday.
Club Fitness says the property owner plans to bring in another business at a higher rent and would not allow the gym to stay. The announcement does not identify the incoming business.

The Windsor gym will keep its normal hours through Oct. 16. Members with questions about their memberships should call 860-688-4200 or visit the gym, according to the announcement.
The Bloomfield location is at 107 Old Windsor Road. Its listed hours are 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The closure follows another departure at the same address. As Patch reported in August, the co-branded Blimpie and Surf City Squeeze restaurant at 1001 Day Hill Road permanently closed.
