CTCSB Welcomes Windsor's Husky Volleyball Den

The staff of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB) hosted a Membership Event to welcome Connecticut’s largest indoor volleyball training center and practice facility. The new “Husky Volleyball Den” features six regulation-size volleyball courts under a single roof and is located at 30 Baker Hollow Road in Windsor, Conn. Staff and several dozen members of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau took to the courts at the after-work business and social gathering.

The Husky Volleyball Den was opened in November by owner and coach Pat Ryan, Club Director of Connecticut’s Husky Volleyball club, and Alex Temkin, University of Hartford’s Head Volleyball Coach. The facility already is the site of day and evening practice sessions for numerous Husky Volleyball teams, many of whom competed in January’s New England Region Volleyball Association (NERVA)’s “2014 Mizuno New England Winterfest Volleyball Tournament” at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. Ryan and Temkin are planning a variety of youth clinics, summer camp, coaches’ clinics, and even open volleyball hours for adults who just want to stop by to play.
