Wallace will be honored at an awards gala and the CT School Counselor Association annual conference in May

The Connecticut School Counselor Association is pleased to announce that Kristina Wallace, of Windsor High School, Windsor, CT has been named Connecticut School Counselor of the Year. Kristina has been described by her colleagues as a caring and compassionate professional who has not only proven to be a great leader among her peers, but a strong advocate for her students. Her principal also describes her “as a passionate, creative and extremely motivated professional school counselor.” Her students also think the world of her. One student commented by saying “she has contributed so much to my academic development by pushing me to challenge myself and take risks that I didn't know I was capable of myself. She continues to believe in me and encourages me to strive for excellence inside and outside of school.” Another one of her students named Gianna said “she is one in a million and I have no doubt in my mind that she is deserving of the title of Connecticut School Counselor of the Year.”

Kristina, was chosen out of several applications as the Connecticut School Counselor of the Year and will be honored at an awards gala in mid-May as well as at the Connecticut School Counselor Association annual conference at the University of Hartford on May 30, 2018.
