Police Have Suspect In Windsor Violin Theft Case
Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the theft of a treasured violin.

WINDSOR, CT — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a residential burglary that included the theft of an 18th-century violin. According to police, the woman pictured above made purchases using credit cards stolen in the crime.
The woman has a sun style tattoo on her neck and may be driving a circa 2000 gray Mazda 3 sedan.
The stolen credit cards were used at a Wethersfield Stop & Shop, a Metro gas station in Windsor, and a Mercury gas station in Hartford.

A prized French violin from the 1800s was among the items burglars stole from a Windsor home recently. Homeowner Tim Lawrence told NBC Connecticut that the violin is a family heirloom and hopes the public will be able to reunite him with the priceless possession.
The burglars also stole cash, credit cards, and jewelry, according to NBC Connecticut.

The violin had been passed down from Lawrence's great grandfather, and he hopes to continue the tradition.
