Windsor Man Charged In Knifepoint Robbery In Wallingford: Police

A second arrest has been made in connection with a knifepoint robbery of a gas station in Wallingford earlier this year, according to police

WINDSOR, CT — A Windsor man has been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a gas station in Wallingford earlier this year, according to police.

The robbery happened around 1:50 a.m. on July 29 at the Sunoco Gas Station at 810 South Colony Road, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said an investigation found that the suspects, a man and a woman, used a knife to threaten the clerk. Both were wearing partial facemasks, according to Jaques.

They stole cash from the register and left in a blue Mitsubishi Mirage that was stolen out of Hartford at the time of the incident, according to Jaques.

Jacqueline Gambardella, 23, of Wallingford, was arrested on a warrant in October.

Further investigation led to an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Frankie Crespo, according to Jaques.

Crespo, of Portland Street in Windsor, was arrested Nov. 5 and charged with first-degree robbery with a dangerous instrument, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny.
