Windsor Man Shot in Head: Hartford Police

Police said the man, who was shot on a street corner in Hartford, is expected to survive.

A Windsor man was shot in the head just before noon on Tuesday on a street corner in Hartford, according to Hartford Police.

Quentin Dickens, 36, is listed in critical but stable condition and is expected to survive, according to Hartford Police Deputy Chief Brian Foley.

Hartford Police, Hartford Fire and EMS responded to Capen Street at Martin Street for a reported gunshot victim.

Police said Dickens was located in the parking lot on the north-west corner of that intersection. He had been shot in the head.

First aid was provided until EMS arrived on the scene, according to police.

Dickens was transported to St. Francis Hospital.

Police recovered critical evidence at the scene, according to Foley.

Foley also said that Dickens had a handgun on his person that was recovered.

The shooting suspect was described as a black make wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
