
Buddy Kathleen (Donovan) Waltein, 58, of Windsor, beloved wife of Michael R. Waltein, died peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 20, 1957 in Lafayette, Indiana, daughter of the late Richard and Buddy (Holler) Donovan. Buddy grew up in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School with the Class of 1975 and went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut in 1979. She enjoyed a career in physical therapy and worked for Fallon Health, Duncaster Retirement Community and her private practice. Buddy was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to tropical locations, such as Hawaii and the Caribbean. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Along with her husband Michael of 35 years, she leaves her son, Christopher M. Waltein of St. Petersburg, FL; her daughter, Alison M. Waltein and fiancé Will Brown of Windsor Locks; three beloved grandchildren, Ava and Bryce Brown and Emris Waltein; her brother, Thomas Donovan and his wife Terri of Verbank, NY; her sister, Carol Napiorkowski and her husband Thomas of Windsor, CT; her sister Valerie Mann and her husband Terry of Franklin, TX; her father-in-law, Richard Waltein Sr. and his wife Alycen of Longmeadow, MA; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Lafreniere and her husband Lonnie of Westfield, MA; and her brother-in-law, Richard Waltein Jr. and his wife Karen of Troy, NY. She was predeceased by her brother, Reed Donovan.
Buddy's engaging and kind disposition, and her generosity and concern for others, endeared her to all. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, June 17, 2016, 11 a.m., at the First Church in Windsor, 107 Palisado Ave., Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of her family.
