Windsor Obituary: Dorothy Borst, 85

Dorothy P. Borst (Dottie), 85, of Enfield passed away peacefully Friday April 8, 2016 at Parkway Pavilion.

Dorothy was born Aug. 28, 1930 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Percy and Edith (House) Caye. She was a resident of the Hartford area living in Windsor, East Hartford, and Enfield. Dorothy was employed by Burnham and Bradys Candy Box for over 50 years retiring in 1995. Her greatest pleasure was being with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her two children, Gail R Dougela and her husband James of Enfield and Bruce T. Borst and his wife Marilyn of Plattsburg, NY; Daughter-in-law Helen Borst of Churchton, MD; a sister Marjorie Fitzgerald of North Richland Hills, TX; two brothers, Richard Caye of Tampa, FL and Edward Caye and his wife Jacqueline of Enfield, CT; seven grandchildren, James Dougela Jr., Kimberly A Embury, Timothy Borst, Bruce Borst Jr, Deborah Gallagher, Amy White, and Andrew Borst, and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son David A Borst; five sisters, and two brothers.

We want to thank Parkway Pavilion for the wonderful care she received by their entire staff, especially her favorite aide, Dawn, and nurses Becky and Devon.

The family will receive family and friends from 10:00am-11:00am Thursday April 14, 2016 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. There will be a short memorial service at 11:00am. Burial will be in Enfield at the St. Patricks King Street Cemetery.
