Windsor Obituary: Krystyna Kubicki, 81

Condolences to her family and friends.

Krystyna T. Kubicki, 81, of Windsor, passed away at her home on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Wiktor Felix Kubicki.

Born in Wrzesnia, Poland on September 23, 1934, Krystyna was an athlete growing up and completed her education before immigrating to United States in 1958. She and Wiktor resided in Windsor where she was very social and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Krystyna lived in Windsor in the same neighborhood for over 50 years. She also enjoyed her yearly trips to Poland to visit her family. She enjoyed conversation with people and was a skilled waitress who worked at Cigna and Valle's Steak House in Hartford for over 20 years. She was cultured and passionate about classical music, opera, and fine art.

Krystyna is loved and mourned by her son, Peter Kubicki of Manchester; a beloved granddaughter, Felicia Kubicki of Windsor; and cousins, Tom Galaj and his wife Ewa and their family, the Duchnowskas. A special thank you is extended to Krystyna's adopted family, The Rosols – Patty and Henry and their family for their love and support over the years.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 in the chapel of Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor with calling hours from 5 – 7 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
