
Martha Marie (Albrecht) Saylor, 55, of Windsor, beloved wife for 25 years of Melvin Leroy Saylor, Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Waterbury on February 18, 1961, daughter of the late Martin Edward and Lillian Lavinia (Goulden) Albrecht, she was raised in Plainville and had lived in Windsor for over 25 years. Martha worked as an office manager for the Hoffman Auto Group, Pierce Buick, and then for Thomas Cadillac. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening around her home, making crafts and pottery, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Devin L. Saylor, Sr. and Alexander J. Saylor both of Bristol; three stepchildren, Melvin L. Saylor, Jr. and his wife Maleny of New Britain, Michael L. Saylor of New Britain, and Latoya Saylor Carter and her husband Chuck of Meriden; a brother, Arthur Screen of Plainville; a nephew, James Cyr, Jr. of Plainville; a niece, Jennifer Cyr Ruot of Plainville; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her best friends, Laurie Trotman and her husband Sid of Bristol and Donna Tata and her husband Joe of Windsor; and many friends throughout the United States and abroad. She was predeceased by her father, Martin Edward Albrecht; her mother and stepfather, Lillian Lavinia Screen and Charles Screen; and a brother, James Cyr.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., in the chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Martha's family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 150 Morris Avenue, Suite 102, Springfield, NJ 07081 or to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
