Windsor Obituary: Raymond Rudewicz, 89

Condolences to his family and friends.

Raymond R. Rudewicz, 89, of Windsor, beloved husband of Rose (Chiaputti) Rudewicz, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at his home.

Born in Hartford to the late Anicet and Catherine (Kotwilla) Rudewicz, he served his country proudly with the US Army during WWII and has been a Windsor resident most of his life. Raymond was a master craftsman and woodcarver and worked as the carpenter/facility manager for Travelers until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed going to the casino and dining out with his wife, but his main focus was always his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Besides his wife Rose of Windsor, he is survived by his son Mark R. Rudewicz and his wife Lillian of Wethersfield; his brother Alex Rudewicz and his wife Regina of Simsbury; his grandson Michael Rudewicz; his great-grandson Braydon Rudewicz; his caretaker and close friend Jose Oyola and extended family members and friends.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to the Windsor Police Department and Emergency Medical Services for their professional and caring service of Raymond.

Memorial services and burial in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
