Windsor Public Schools Announces CAPSS Student Leadership Awards
Students Recognized for Community Service, Academic Prowess and Leadership
Windsor Public Schools is pleased to announce the recipients of the CAPSS (CT Association of Public School Superintendents) Student Leadership Awards for Windsor High School and Sage Park Middle School. The CAPSS Superintendent's Student Leadership Awards are based on community service and service to others, academic prowess (relative to ability), and leadership service to the school community.
Dr. Craig Cooke, Superintendent of Schools, along with Leonard Lockhart, Board of Education President, Windsor High School Principal Uyi Osunde and Sage Park Middle School Principal Liana Jorgensen presented the recipients with their awards on November 20, 2018 at the Windsor Town Hall. These awards recognize the following students who have served their schools and communities while maintaining good scholastic progress.
The Sage Park Middle School CAPSS Student Leadership Award recipients are Najia Elarabi (Academic Excellence), Jerren Langford (Leadership Service), and James Finlay (Community Service).

The Windsor High School CAPSS Student Leadership Award recipients are Sage DeAngelis (Academic Excellence), Aaron Peterson (Leadership Service) and Jill Goldberg (Community Service).
The Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS) is an organization that represents all of the superintendents and leaders of public schools in Connecticut. Their mission is to lead the continuous improvement of public education for all students by advocating public policy and developing and supporting executive school leaders.
