Windsor Says United Way Rapid Response Housing Funds Are Exhausted
The short-term assistance program has closed after available funding ran out.
WINDSOR, CT — The Town of Windsor said the housing assistance program it launched with United Way has fully expended its available funding and is now closed.
Town officials said the Rapid Response Fund was created to help individuals and families remain housed or stabilize their housing situations, but demand quickly exhausted the limited pool of funds.
The Windsor Social Services Department said it will continue sharing information as additional housing or financial assistance resources become available. In the meantime, officials said the department remains available to support residents in need and help connect them with other services.
