Next Saturday, April 25, the East Windsor Local Prevention Council will sponsor a Community Prevention Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center, 28 Abbe Road. The event will include interactive prevention simulations, educational activities, community resource tables, games, raffles and food for all ages.

Residents should also expect road closures on Depot Street between Main Street and Emily Road on April 25 and April 26. The Broad Brook Fire Department will be conducting mandatory training at the Broad Brook Pond boat launch, which will also be closed during that time.

Closures are scheduled for April 25 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and April 26 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Officials said the boat launch will be closed during the training.

The East Windsor Community Fund Advisory Committee is also looking for new members. The committee will hold a New Volunteer Open House on May 7 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Trolley Museum for anyone interested in learning more about getting involved.
