A wake up call in Warehouse Point

Rabies in Warehouse Point, a wake up call

Warehouse Point just had a big wake up call on the importance of animal safety.  A cat was captured after attacking a person this week, and it has since tested positive for rabies.  If you were exposed to the cat, described as Light Gray Tiger, 5-7 pounds, you should seek medical attention as soon as you can.

This is a stern wake up call on the importance of maintaining your animals health.  It is ever important to ensure your animals have all their vaccines, and are spayed/neutered.  Controlling the population of feral animals is a big part of ensuring incidents like this are kept to a minimum.

For those that may have financial problems prohibiting them from getting their pets their vaccines, I urge you to stay vigiliant for clinics offered around the area at various times of the year.  Many of the major pet stores offer both rabies and spay/neuter clinics, with prices that are low.
