No Heat, Water Or Power: Bradley Inn Shut Down In Windsor Locks
Officials said the building lacked electricity, heat and hot water when it was condemned Feb. 26.
WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The Bradley Inn has been condemned after town officials determined the building was operating without electricity, heat or hot water, displacing 20 people who had been living there.
The closure was first reported on Patch following an email tip Friday. Town officials later confirmed the details.
Town Assists 20 Occupants With Emergency Relocation
First Selectman Jonathan W. Savino said the property, located at 5 Ella Grasso Drive, was condemned Feb. 26 by the Windsor Locks building inspector due to the lack of electrical power, heat and hot water.

Savino said 20 occupants had been residing at the hotel at the time. The Windsor Locks Social Services Department assisted all residents in relocating to various hotels to meet their immediate housing needs.
State Agencies Notified Of Conditions
According to Savino, the hotel owner has been notified of the condemnation. The Connecticut Department of Public Health’s North Central District and the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office have also been informed of the situation.

“The Town of WL will continue to coordinate with the appropriate agencies as needed,” Savino said in a statement.
