Building In Windsor Locks Condemned, Residents Forced To Relocate
The property was deemed uninhabitable after essential utilities were found to be shut off.
WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The Bradley Inn in Windsor Locks has been condemned and shut down after officials determined the building was without essential utilities, forcing residents to relocate.
The situation was first reported to Patch as an email tip Friday. An eyewitness said the property was deemed uninhabitable due to the lack of working utilities. As a result, occupants were required to leave the premises.

It was not immediately clear how many residents were displaced or how long the conditions had persisted before the action was taken. Patch has reached out for additional details about the circumstances that led to the condemnation.

The Bradley Inn, located at 5 Ella Grasso Turnpike, was also the site of an armed robbery investigation in December, when police said a man was robbed at gunpoint in the hotel parking lot. In that case, officers responded around 10:05 p.m. to a report that a suspect displayed a handgun and stole rings from a victim before fleeing on foot. The incident remains under investigation.
Further information is expected as officials provide updates on the situation.
