EAST WINDSOR, CT — A Hartford man found sleeping in his vehicle at the Park Hill residential complex in the early morning hours Friday turned out to be a convicted felon in possession of a great quantity of narcotics and a "ghost gun," according to police.

Around 5:40 a.m., a resident at the complex called police to report a suspicious vehicle parked at the complex, with both front doors open yet no one seen around the vehicle. Officers found a man, later identified as Jesse Diaz, 30, asleep in the driver's seat. A firearm was observed in plain view inside the driver's side door, which investigation revealed to not have a serial number, otherwise known as a "ghost gun," police said.

A search of Diaz and the vehicle yielded about 52 grams of crack cocaine, 25 grams of cocaine, 900 bags of heroin and 305 grams of marijuana. He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, failure to obtain a serial number for a firearm, operation of a drug factory and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
