East Windsor Man Accused Of Murder Tried To Escape Custody
Gabrielle Hesse, accused of stabbing his father more than 70 times with a screwdriver, tried to escape from custody in court Tuesday.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Gabrielle Hesse, 40, an East Windsor man charged with murder, slipped a handcuff in the back of a judicial marshal van and tried to escape at a prisoner receiving area at Hartford Superior Court Tuesday, The Hartford Courant reported. He then demanded the judicial marshal give him the keys to the van.
The marshal refused and put the handcuffs back on Hesse.
Hesse remains in custody on $2 million bond. He is accused of murdering his 73-year-old father, Halsey Hesse, Jr., by stabbing him 70 times with a screwdriver in October.
