East Windsor Police Detain Enfield Armed Robbery Suspects
After receiving a description of a suspect and vehicle, East Windsor police detained a pair of men sleeping in a car outside Walmart.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A man with a gun unsuccessfully tried to rob a person outside an Enfield grocery store early Monday morning, then fled in a vehicle with another man and were subsequently discovered and arrested several hours later sleeping in a car in an East Windsor parking lot.
Enfield Deputy Police Chief Gary Collins said the incident took place around 12:45 a.m. outside the Aldi's store at 25 Hazard Avenue. A victim reported a man brandished a gun and demanded his wallet, upon which the victim showed his wallet to be empty, Collins said.
The suspect jumped into a vehicle driven by another man, who drove away. Police were able to obtain a description of the suspect and the vehicle from the victim, then broadcast those descriptions to other area law enforcement agencies, Collins said.
