East Windsor Son Charged In Murder Of Father: PD

An East Windsor man is accused of killing his father in October, according to police.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — An East Windsor man has been arrested on charges that he murdered his 73-year-old father in October. Gabriel Hesse, 40, of 255 S. Main St. Lot 10, was taken into custody Friday night and held on $2 million bond, police said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Enfield Superior Court today.

Police said they responded to a call Oct. 9 at around 8 a.m. regarding an unresponsive male at 229 Fairway Drive. The victim was later identified as Halsey Hesse Jr., 73.

They found Hesse's body in the kitchen of the mobile home. Hesse had been found by a family member who police said conducted a welfare check after he could not reach Hesse by phone.

An autopsy revealed that Hesse Jr. died from multiple stab wounds.

Local police were joined by Connecticut State Police, Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Unit, the Windsor Locks Police Department, and the State of Connecticut Division of Scientific Services in the investigation.
