Connecticut Pagan Pride Day

Connecticut Pagan Pride is a one day event that encourages the Pagan community to educate the general public.  Dispelling the myths they may have about who and what are Pagans.

With that in mind we work hard at gathering local teachers and leaders from our community to provide workshops geared to introduce and expand participants knowledge of all aspects of Paganism.  Last year our workshops included: ritual development, spell work, symbolism, paranormal and psychic defense, kitchen witchery, grounding and centering, Pagan parenting to name a few.  This year we continue drawing on our community to include Celtic Magic, Rites of Passage, Spell work, Pagan Parenting, Incense making and many more.  We are also blessed to have Raven and Stephanie Grammasi as presenters!

We support our Pagan businesses, educators and groups by including them in our event. As a part of the greater Connecticut community, we also collect donations for local food banks, animal shelters and religious items for soldiers deployed overseas.

Our event takes place during the first harvest season which lasts from August 1st until the Autumnal Equinox.  This is the season when many celebrate the first harvests of grain from their growing season.  Traditionally you will see this expressed in loaves of bread and baked goods.

Each year we have a theme for our event.  We began last year with “Growing Roots” in working on developing a Pagan community within Connecticut.  This year our theme is “Tending Our Community” in an effort to continue the momentum that we gathered last year.

This year Pagan Pride Day is on August 27 from 10 am to 6 pm at the VFW Hall (152 Massirio Dr.) in Berlin, CT.  Our group ritual is at 1 pm.  Join us for a great day of education, food, fun, crafts and great Pagan merchants!
