
Memorial Day ceremonies and services planned for the Town of East Windsor this year will begin with a parade sponsored by the Melrose School Preservation Committee on Sunday, May 29. The parade will form at the Melrose School at 2:30 p.m. and proceed to the cemetery where services will be held, and flowers will be placed at individual veteran's graves. Refreshments will be served immediately following at the Melrose School House.
The East Windsor Veterans Commission will sponsor several activities on Monday, May 30. A parade will form at the East Windsor Town Hall Annex at 10 a.m. and proceed to the Veteran's Memorial Green where Memorial Day services will be held. Any veterans who plan on marching in the parade should be at the Town Hall Annex at 9:15 a.m.
Immediately following the service, participants and their families are invited to the American Legion, Barry-Poulter Post No. 40, Inc., located at 7 Gardner Street (corner of Pleasant Street in East Windsor.)

Flags will be placed at Veteran's gravesites on Saturday, May 28. Anyone interested in helping with this tribute is requested to meet at the Broad Brook Firehouse at 9 a.m. For more information, call Ernie Teixeira at 860-623-8782.
