
Young and old alike will enjoy this concert celebrating music from the Baroque period through modern, classical, pop and jazz works of today. Come enjoy performances of the works of Bach including selections from the Brandenburg Concerto no. 6, the 2nd Partita for solo violin and a faculty ensemble performance of Bach’s famous Concerto for 2 violins. Other faculty performances will include contemporary guitar music by Phillip Houghton, contemporary bass repertoire of François Rabbath, Schumann’s Märchenbilder Sonata for viola and piano, a vocal rendition of The Nightingale by Alexander Alyabyev and jazz piano sounds of Miles Davis and Duke Ellington. Student group and solo performances will also be featured.
