Quilting expert Jo Hansling is presenting Victorian Quilts and Traditions on Wednesday, December 7 at 7pm in the Community Room of the Warehouse Point Library. This program will allow you to experience the sentiments of the era, the symbolism of the quilts, holiday traditions, the origins of the Victorian era and the celebration of the Queen’s jubilee. Crazy quilts and various samples of holiday décor will be on display to showcase the creativity of the time period. Jo Hansling, a resident of Bloomfield, CT is a quilter, teacher and craftswoman. Her passion for quilt history has evolved into creating programs of different eras. The program is free. Please call the library for more information.
