Man Charged in Connection with Brutal Windsor Locks Assault

He is accused of severely striking his girlfriend in April, requiring her to undergo head surgery, according to police.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A man wanted by police in connection with a brutal assault on his girlfriend in April has been apprehended, Lt. Paul Cherniack said.

Clinton Weston, 23, who police say has a history of violence and weapons charges, had been wanted on a warrant charging him with second-degree assault since the April 20 incident.

Police said late that morning, Weston engaged in an argument with the woman at her place of employment on Route 75. The altercation became physical, and Weston allegedly struck the woman in the face, causing her to fall and strike her head on an adjacent vehicle. Weston then fled the scene in the woman's vehicle, which was later located by East Hartford police.
