Member of the MMTC to meet with residents to discuss concerns about Hosting their 3rd Casino and to Highlght the Poisitive!!

Public voices will be near non existent in Windsor Locks tonight at the Meet and Greet Public Meeting to address the PUBLIC about any concerns that they may have about the Town of Windsor Locks Hosting a 3rd Indian Casino to highlight the pluses in Hosting their Casino.

This Public Meeting was requested by the members of the MMTC yet Selectman Kervick has posted RULES that make Public Input near non existent. "ONE MINUTE TO ADDRESS THE MMTC". A person can barely get their name and address on record in that amount of time!! If this is their Meeting how does Selectman Kervick set the Rules to LIMIT PUBLIC INPUT.

I surely hope that Mr. Brown recognizes the follies in this approach to limit the PUBLIC'S TIME TO SPEAK. Maybe a Time Limit of 10 minutes per speaker may be appropriate !! BUT ONE MINUTE BECAUSE HE PERSONALLY WANT TO LIMIT CERTAIN RESIDENTS FROM ASKING VERY POINTED QUESTIONS AND SPEAKING AGAINST A CASINO!!

Selectman Kervick is also responsible for the time change for this Meeting to start!

Could this be a deliberate attempt to limit Public Participation.Does Selectman Kervick want to pump up his Facebook crowd and have them be the only ones in attendance??

Jobs and Revenues for our State are very important! However, the Public for some reason, ignores the real problem and that is the Financial Crisis our State of Connecticut is in!!. THE REALITY, the monies that will be added to the State Treasury form increased gambling will ‘ONLY PUT A DENT, in our Financial woes. WHY ISN’T THE PUBLIC RECOGNIZING WHY THE STATE CONTINUES WITH ITS TAX AND SPEND WAYS??

Our Indian Tribes are not the only Business in this State that are facing increased competition ! Our State of Connecticut is losing corporation after corporation and we offer significant tax reductions to keep others that are thing of leaving!
