WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The latest installment of this pictorial history series takes us to one of seven branches of the First National Bank of Windsor Locks, as depicted in the 1964 edition of the Windsor Locks High School yearbook, The Herald.

The branch shown was located on Turnpike Road, commonly known as Route 75 and currently known locally as Ella Grasso Turnpike. The yearbook ad says First National Bank had "seven convenient offices to serve you in Windsor Locks, Thompsonville [and] East Windsor."

The site is currently occupied by Smoker's Discount World. Here is a more contemporary look, courtesy of Google Maps.
