WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Police say a man wielding a machete swung it at another man with whom he was having a dispute Saturday, nearly cutting him with the blade, and are seeking home camera footage that may depict what took place.

The incident began around 12:30 p.m. when the two men, aged 27 and 46, became involved in an altercation in the driveway of a house on Suffield Street. During the dispute, the 27-year-old retrieved a machete from the trunk of his vehicle and swung it in a violent manner, threatening the other man with severe bodily injury, police said.

The older man retreated toward his vehicle to protect himself from the attacker, but the assailant swung the weapon at the man, nearly cutting him with the machete blade. The machete struck the upper left sleeve of the man's sweatshirt, causing a minor tear in the sleeve, police said.
