The Opera House Players at the Broad Brook Opera House are putting on The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a one act musical comedy show that centers around a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. The musical, which was on Broadway in 2005, was conceived by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin and additional material by Jay Reiss.

The Opera House Players started peforming the show on Feb. 11  and will continue on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Feb. 27.
