Two Charged When Car Crashes Into Windsor Locks Home
Two men were charged when a car containing illegal weapons collided with a South Elm Street house.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Two men were arrested Saturday night after a car crashed into a home, according to a police statement. The call came in after a car collided with a deck, ripping it from the home at 275 S. Elm St.
The vehicle was empty when police arrived but the driver and two passengers were found nearby, police said. A 9 mm rifle with a 50-round drum was found nearby as well as a BB gun that resembled a semiautomatic pistol.
Julian Ringuette, 18, of Windsor Locks, was charged with weapons in a motor vehicle, transporting an assault weapon, evading responsibility, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, illegal possession of an assault rifle, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and possession of a controlled substance. He was released on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court Dec. 24.

Julien Davis, 18, of Hartford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released on a promise to appear in Enfield Superior Court Dec. 24.
A 16-year-old juvenile was also a passenger in the vehicle and was released to his parents' custody.

According to police, two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed on South Elm Street. One of the vehicles left the road then, more than 200 feet later, crashed into the home fence and rear deck. All occupants left the vehicle and began walking away, though were soon located afterward.
The other vehicle fled the area.
The case remains under investigation.
