Windsor Locks Police Officers Successfully Revive 5-Year-Old Child
Officers performed life-saving treatment on the child, who wasn't breathing.

Windsor Locks police officers recently performed life-saving treatment and successfully revived a 5-year-old child who wasn’t breathing.
Officers were dispatched to a Codey Way residence on May 23 on the report of a 5-year-old child not breathing.
Recognizing the severity of the call, another assisting officer responded on his own as well.

Upon arrival, the child was obviously in need of immediate advanced medical treatment, according to police.
The ambulance was on the way but had not yet arrived. Officers quickly rendered medical services as the child’s condition deteriorated to where the child was not breathing.

Officer’s began CPR and applied an Automated External Defibrillator to re-establish the heart’s normal electrical impulses.
As a direct result of the officer’s actions, the child began to breathe. An ambulance arrived and the child was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police commended the quick identification, treatment, and actions of Officer’s Aspessi, Tate and Lampson that were directly responsible for reviving and saving the child’s life.
