Windsor Locks Repeals Sex Offender Law
A law banning registered sex offenders from some public places has been repealed.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - A measure to repeal a municipal law banning sex offenders from some public places passed in a vote last week by a count of 50-13, the Journal-Inquirer reported.
The vote comes after an anonymous citizen and an advocacy group filed a suit against the town.
The ordinance prohibited registered sex offenders from being in "child safety zones," such as schools, the library, and parks. However, the lawsuit claims these restrictions violate the First and Fourteenth amendments.
