Windsor Locks Teen Charged With Selling Narcotics
Police and Drug Enforcement Agency agents executed a pair of warrants against the man last week.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A pair of warrants were executed last week by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Windsor Locks police, resulting in the arrest of a teenager on charges of illegal sale of narcotics.
After about a month-long investigation, search warrants were obtained and executed at 430 Elmwood Drive and the person of Joshua Welch, 19, of that address, Lt. Paul Cherniack said.
Welch was located at Wendy's Restaurant on Route 75 in Windsor Locks. Officers held two active arrest warrants for him involving the prior selling of over 300 illegal pills within Windsor Locks, and an active search and seizure warrant, Cherniack said.

The search warrant was executed, and discovered was approximately 576 illegal narcotic/controlled substance pills, $727 in cash, and about 223.8 grams of marijuana. Materials and equipment used to prepare and package narcotics for street sale was also found at the Elmwood Drive residence, Cherniack said.
Welch was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and per the warrants with sale of narcotics. He was held on $100,000 bond, and released following arraignment on Sept. 20, when bond was reduced to $10,500, according to judicial records. He is slated to return to court Oct. 13.
