Woman Arrested In Windsor Locks Elder Abuse Case

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - A woman was arrested for purposefully pushing an elderly patient out of her wheelchair at Stonebrook Village, a senior living community, according to police. Christine Christensen was arrested and charged Friday with third-degree abuse, second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree assault of an elderly person.

Police said that surveillance footage from the facility shows Christensen pushing an 83-year-old woman down the hall July 9. Christensen appears to deliberately push the woman forward causing her to fall to the floor.

The elderly woman suffered injuries to the left side of her face and her left arm. She was given medical attention following the incident.

Christensen was held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court Sept. 4.
