• CT man admits to scamming cryptocurrency investors out of $1.1M for online gambling funds (courant.com) — A 25-year-old Wolcott man has admitted in federal court to running a cryptocurrency fraud scheme that took about $1.1 million from more than 10 investors, money he then lost on an online gambling site. Prosecutors say he falsely promised high returns, invented extra “gas fees,” and faces up to 65 years in prison when sentenced in January 2027.
