• Dog with 900 ticks found on side of the road in Wolcott (nbcconnecticut.com) — A severely neglected dog named Tony was discovered on Wolcott Road over the weekend, barely able to move and covered with hundreds of ticks. Local animal control and a Terryville groomer spent hours stabilizing and carefully cleaning him, and he’s now recovering at the town shelter while police work to learn where he came from.

• CT House tables vote on 'absentee voting for all' bill (news12.com) — Wolcott residents may see major changes to how they cast ballots, as the Connecticut House has delayed a vote on a bill that would allow anyone to vote by mail without an excuse. Wolcott’s State Rep. Gale Mastrofrancesco is among Republicans raising fraud and security concerns, especially after recent Bridgeport ballot fraud cases, so negotiations will continue before the session ends in two weeks.
