Announcing Pet Portrait winner!

Congratulations to Jessica Landmon and family who won a Gift Certificate from Portraits by ShawnaLee during the Brass City Ballet’s Spring Gala Event.

The annual BCB Spring Gala featured a performance of Snow White at the Naugatuck Valley Community College this past March 2017. Last year’s event featured a performance of Cinderella at the Palace Theater in Waterbury CT.

The Landmons were thrilled and had two Graphite Portraits created; one of Dakota, a 7 month old Toy Goldendoodle and Max, a 12 year old Labradoodle. Dakota, now 8 months old, “loves to play outside, sit on our laps, and steal her older brother Max's bones. Max….has the sweetest personality. He is easy going, but certainly loves his treat. He really enjoyed Dakota getting house trained since he got a cookie every time she did.” Jessica Landmon.

Brass City Ballet is a non profit 501 (c) (3) organization that shares the art, technique and joy of dance by offering Recreational & Pre-Professional Dance Classes for all ages. More than just a ballet, they are a family of dancers!

ShawnaLee Kwashnak, Middlebury Mom and portrait artist, loves to draw animals and people and has shown her work throughout Connecticut and has been featured in a number of Magazines and local television channels for her portraiture. She supports animal welfare and created the Danbury Animal Welfare Society's Greeting Room Mural. She is a DAWS partner in addition to supporting Whisker's Rescue in Southbury CT etc.. ShawnaLee teaches art classes in Middlebury CT and will be offering art classes through ArtsEscape in Southbury starting June 2017.
