"Cookout For The Troops" Fundraiser This Saturday, July 15, 11 AM to 5 PM at Bradshaw Chrysler Jeep In Oakville

Bradshaw Chrysler Jeep at 554 Main Street in Oakville will be among Connecticut new-car dealers that will host a “Cookout For the Troops” this coming Saturday, July 15, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., to help raise funds to support the Connecticut National Guard Foundation and USO Connecticut. The dealer is a member of the Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association (CARA) whose dealer members will all host “Cookout for the Troops” community fundraising events statewide this Saturday.

Additionally, Bradshaw Chrysler Jeep will make a contribution directly to the fundraising ambitions by making a contribution for every service rendered during the entire month of July, plus every car sold.

Susan Atkins, granddaughter of company founder Fred A. Bradshaw, is current third-generation owner of the dealership. She commented, “We are very excited to be among our state’s nearly 50 dealers that will fire up their grills to host cookout fundraisers in support of these two important organizations that help the more than 34,000 local troops and military families.

“Community has been an integral part of our dealership since it was founded in 1931 by Fred Bradshaw as a Community Service Station. My husband and I are children of military veterans and we are familiar with the realities and effects of active duty life on military personnel and their families, and their unfaltering commitments to our nation and the freedoms we all cherish. We feel strongly about supporting our military personnel who sacrifice so much to serve our country.”

Entry into the Saturday, July 15, Bradshaw Chrysler Jeep “Cookout for the Troops” fundraiser will be by welcomed donations. All the food will be offered free to attendees, and the proceeds raised will directly support local area military and their families. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other foods will be donated to the fundraiser by Bozzuto’s, Inc. in Cheshire.

Bradshaw Chrysler Jeep’s “Cookout for the Troops” fundraiser will be held between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the backyard area of the dealer’s building at 554 Main Street in Oakville.

Prominent and highly-regarded Watertown residents State Senator Eric Berthel and State Representative for the 68th District Joseph Poletta are both anticipated to visit the festivities during the afternoon hours.
