Coronavirus Middlebury: Quassy To Delay Opening
Water park officials said they will not be opening on April 25 as originally scheduled.
MIDDLEBURY, CT — Quassy Amusement & Waterpark has announced that it will not open on April 25 as originally scheduled, according to a statement from the company. Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has mandated that all amusement parks and numerous other attractions in the state remain closed through April 30.
“While we don’t have an exact date that Quassy will open to the public, we certainly hope that it will be safe to do so in May,” park President Eric Anderson said in a statement. “We are forging ahead with hiring seasonal help, using social media for online interviews. In the meantime, while we continue to monitor what our state and local agencies are recommending, we want everyone to remain safe during this health crisis.”
Anderson said that Quassy’s maintenance personnel have continued to prepare the property for its 112th season of operation.
