Decision Reached on Pressing State Forgery Charges Against Middlebury Fire Dept. Secretary: Report
Fire chief secretary Kim Connors admitted under oath to forging more than $8,300 worth of department checks to herself.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — Kim Connors, secretary for the Woodbury fire chief, will not face state forgery charges for writing more than $8,300 worth of department checks to herself, which she admitted under oath to doing, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
In 2012, while doing outside work for former Fire Chief Paul Perrotti, Connors wrote the checks to herself because Perrotti told her he would reimburse the funds, she testified at his embezzlement trial. Two citizens have written a letter to the Connecticut State’s Attorney’s office seeking charges against her and the reimbursement of the funds.
State prosecutors decided not to pursue state charges against Connors because the case was handled federally, the publication writes. Connors reportedly received immunity for her testimony.
