Dentist Accused Of Unnecessary Dental Work On 3-Year-Old: Report

A hearing before the state's dental oversight board was scheduled for this week.

TERRYVILLE, CT — A Terryville dentist is accused of performing unnecessary dental work on a 3-year-old girl following a two-year investigation by the state Department of Public Health, the Hartford Courant reported. A hearing before the state’s dental oversight board was scheduled for Wednesday.

According to the Hartford Courant, Ammar Idlibi told the girl and her mother she would need a crown on one tooth, however she woke up from the procedure with eight. Idlibi disputes the accusations and said he believes he is the target of biased investigators and parents who do not fully understand pediatric dentistry.
