Ice Cream Fans, Rejoice: Charlie's is Open
Lack of open ice cream shops getting you down? Well, it's about time you turned that frown upside down.
Charlie's is open for business.
The ice cream spot, technically known as Dairy De-lite but known locally as Charlie's, is open this week but with limited stock, said Mau Patwary.
This week, his hours a bit sporadic and he only has one machine up and running and hard ice cream for sale.
But come next week, Patwary said he will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
A sign on the wall proudly notes the 56 possible flavors you can get at Charlie's, from staples like chocolate and pistachio to more eclectic flavors, like cinnamon and pear.
Woodbury-Middlebury Patch blogger Sami Jo Jensen discovered Charlie's when she first moved to town and fell in love with the place.
