MIDDLEBURY, CT — Residents are being warned to take security measures as Middlebury police continue investigations into four residential burglaries that occurred over the summer.
According to Police Chief Francis Dabbo, burglaries this summer occurred at homes on Middlebury Road, North Ridge Drive, Washington Drive and Whittemore Road, reports the Waterbury Republican-American. The homeowners of the Middlebury Road residence were in the house sleeping at the time of that break-in.
So far, there have been 13 reported burglaries in Middlebury in 2016, compared to 16 in 2015, according to Dabbo.
