One donor wrote:
“As the news of Gerry’s passing reaches me, I am in shock he is gone so soon. I will always remember Gerry for his willingness to go the extra mile for young people such as myself. As a high school student looking to become involved in politics, Gerry quickly took me under his wing as if I was his own son and taught me the ropes during and after his time as First Selectman. For all of his help and friendship during those years, I consider myself fortunate to have had such an amazing person in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with the Stomski family during this difficult time.”
