Man Charged With Assaulting Woodbury Police Officer

A Waterbury man is facing numerous charges after police caught him doing wheelies on his motorcycle.

WOODBURY, CT — A Waterbury man is facing a litany of charges after an altercation Monday, according to The Waterbury Republican-American. Police initially spotted Christopher Hollon, 30, doing wheelies on his motorcycle on Route 6 around 3:45 p.m.

He pulled into the Evergreen Restaurant parking lot and was confronted by police. However, while police were questioning Hollon, he restarted the motorcycle and attempted to flee the scene.

A police officer held onto the bike, preventing Hollon's getaway, The Republican-American reported.

Hollon was charged with reckless driving, interfering with a police officer, assault on a public safety officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace, operating an unregistered vehicle, improper use of a license plate, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, and operating a motor vehicle without minimum insurance.
