Middlebury Police Help Arrest Burglary Suspect: Police
The accused is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond, police say.
EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Police announced the arrest of a man who is accused of burglarizing a local business. Middlebury Police officers stopped the suspect's vehicle and turned the man over to East Haven Police.
Police Lt. Joseph M. Murgo said an arrest has been made in the August burglary at My Country Store, 677 Main Street, in which an individual, later identified as Dino Francis, 56, forced entry to the rear of the business and stole cash from the cash register.
Surveillance video/photos from the night of the burglary showed a white male dressed in all white wearing a green bandana rummaging through the business, police said.

Photos of the suspect were put out to the media and shared on social media and within hours of the post, calls began coming in identifying Francis as the responsible party, police said. After an investigation was conducted by the East Haven Police Investigative Services Division, an arrest warrant was submitted, police said.
Francis was taken into custody by the Middlebury Police Department after a motor vehicle stop, police said. He was subsequently turned over to the East Haven Police Department for processing.

Francis was charged with:
· Burglary in the Third Degree
· Larceny in the Sixth Degree
· Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree
Francis was held on a $10,000 bond.
"We would like to thank the public for their help in identifying Dino Francis as the responsible party for this burglary," Murgo said.
